![]() October 10, 2008 Still AliveI haven't updated in awhile. It happens. I've been trying hard to get into the swing of things here at grad school and instead of updating my site with new work, I've been questioning the legality of such work, so for now it stays under wraps. That's not to say I won't update soon, I probably will in the next month. Good stuff, trust me. Mark Hosford just visited our school and I got to assist printing and even go out for drinks with the guy and have to say he's an amazing artist. Seriously, check it. I also proudly own one of his prints now. Since he was the first visiting artist I got to claim a print from for assisting, and it's an awesome print, I'm gonna frame it and hang it next to the only wall in my apartment I look at . . . the one with the T.V. That's about all I've got in me for the time being. I referenced my magic 8 ball and realized this weekend will be fairly productive. BONUS! -nick September 06, 2008 New School, New StuffSo . . . I cut all my hair off since I was really hot and there's no a/c in the art building here. My studio is surrounded with glass-block windows and when it gets hot it gets ungodly hot. other than that it's really nice to have my own space to work on my artwork at school. I like the fact I'm not just destroying a corner of my apartment with woodchips and markers. In other news I've found the geekiest printmaking website ever that offers all a crappy printmakin' art grad could hope for; INKteraction. It's basically a printmaking myspace or facebook. Most of my friends at this point are professors which is also weird in its own little way. My profile can be found here. Pretty lame eh? I'm also finishing some new prints for a new construct also which can be seen here: That's about it for now. -nick August 22, 2008 Syracuse-nessI'm now living in upstate NY, biding my time until school starts and updating my website for the first time in a long time. There's new links, new documentation on the portfolio page and soon there will be a new about page, and a new splash page photo. It's a ton of stuff really and there's more documentation to come. I'm thinking about doing a show documentation page, but nothing will probably come of it as I'm very behind in just regular work documentation. It's all good though. Check out the links on the side bar, the new re-vamped JBdN is back, and the others are mostly professors, except for ren. -nick |
